FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

Where is the studio?

We are located on the corner of JFK and “H” street in the old Park Hill Elementary School Building. Red building with parking in the back.

What do I wear?

We have one rule about clothes at BYN, please have some on. In truth, comfortable, breathable clothing that does not restrict movement.

Women:  If wearing an oversized t-shirt, we recommend a fitted tank as a base layer.
Men: We recommend compression shorts underneath stretchy, athletic shorts, pants, or tights.

What do I need to bring for class?

BYN provides mats and props in the studio for those new to the practice. While studio props are always available, many students find it helpful to have their own mat and props. Once you find what types of classes you are coming to, we encourage having your own gear for additional comfort, sanitation, and the ability to bring your practice home.

What affordable pricing options do you have?

We provide donation-based, “Pay What You Can” classes as one-third of our studio schedule. “Pay What You Can” classes are offered at all weekday morning classes before noon, so that everyone can enjoy the benefits of yoga. We do ask that you mindfully consider your offering so that it matches your financial ability, and that everyone contributes something.

Military discount/civil service: We offer a military/civil service discount on our 10 class pass, $99. (Regularly $119).

What if I have never done yoga? What if I am out of shape or not flexible?

That’s exactly why we are here! There are no expectations coming in the door, only willingness. Whether it is strength, flexibility, or balance, there is no perfection in the practice. It is called yoga practice, not yoga perfect. BYN teachers are equipped to meet you where you are as you grow on your yoga journey.

Do you offer prenatal yoga?

Yes! While you will not see specific prenatal classes on our schedule, our owner and yoga therapist, Stacey Reynolds is prenatal certified as a RPYT. We recommend those expecting to start with her classes. While Stacey is prenatal certified, we recommend clearance from your OBGYN before starting any exercise program, including yoga. Stacey’s classes always have an assistant for an extra set of hands to ensure you have the safest, enjoyable experience for you.
